These settings affect which URLs to include in the search.
Explanations
Here are explanations for the options shown above.
Search for All Links. If you choose this option eValid will look at pages with ALL EXTENSIONS and use all BROWSER PROTOCOLS.
Search with Limitations. If you choose this option, eValid will search according to both the set of Extensions/Query types you select and also by the Protocols that you select. (See product documentation for a complete explanation of this option.)
Limit by Extension/Query (select and /or edit). You can select files to include in your Site Analysis by specifying their extension and/or by specifying $NAME=VALUE pairs. (See product documentation for a complete explanation of this option.)
Limit by Protocols (select and/or edit). You can select the specific protocols you wish to include. The default BROWSER PROTOCOLS instructs eValid to use all available protocols. (See product documentatiion for a complete explanation of this option.)
Visit Off-site Links.
If you choose this option then eValid
will visit any pages that are linked from a page
within the search that don't match the Domain(s) you have specified.
Exclude URLs.
You can choose to exlude URLs by specifying a string or a set of strings an instance of
which in a particular URL will instruct eValid not to scan that link.
Such URLs are marked as "blocked" in the eValid reports.
You can choose from pre-configured Exclude URLs Files, or you can create your
own Exclude URLs File and save it.
Exclude URLs File. This file gives you a place where you can specify the strings that you want eValid to not visit. the exclusions are done based on whether a string you specify is found anywhere in the page URL. (See product documentation for a complete explanation of this option.)
Case Sensitive. Check this if the excluded strings are case-sensitive.
