This page provides you with the ability to perform string matches with each
page scanned.
Explanations
Here are explanations for the options shown above.
Create Reports for Pages Matching String Search Criteria.
If you select this eValid report you will be shown the URLs
of any page that contains an instance of the string that you specify.
You can specify a simple string, or you can specify a regular expression.
The report will show the first instance of matches in context.
Text.
This is the string you want to try to find (or not find) in the page.
complete HTML.
If you select this option then eValid will search the completely HTML of the page - the entire text of the page.
Visible Text.
If you select this option then eValid will search the visible text on the page.
META Tags only.
If you select this option then eValid will search the text that lies within META tags.
TITLE Tags only.
In this case you will scan ONLY the contents of the TITLE tag [if any].
URL only.
If you select this option then eValid will search only the actual URL.
Case Sensitive.
This option determines whether the checking of the string
is done with or without case sensitivity.
Regular Expression.
If you select this option the string match is done assuming
that the match string is a Regular Expression
(see product documentation).
Invert Logic (NOT).
If this option is selected the pages match if the string is NOT found.
Report Multiple Matches.
When selected eValid shows you ALL instances of matches on the report page.
You can select from the following options:
10 -- Shows the first 10 matches.
100 -- Shows the first 100 matches.
All -- Shows all matches found.
Match Context Left (chars), Match Context Right (chars).
This option allows you to select the number of characters shown on the
left and on the right of the matching string.
10 -- Shows the 10 characters to the Left/Right of the string match.
25 -- Shows the 25 characters to the Left/Right of the string match.
50 -- Shows the 50 characters to the Left/Right of the string match.
100 -- Shows the 100 characters to the Left/Right of the string match.
250 -- Shows the 250 characters to the Left/Right of the string match.
